I couldn’t ask for more
This Penn Squall cast great! It has loads of power and great drag range. I have used it in both fresh and saltwater, for both plug casting and vertical slow pitch jigging. I have been very happy with this addition to my fishing tackle.

Great
Had my Penn Squall a couple years.
I use it in the surf regularly and don’t really take care of it except rinse. Maybe a spray of WD or oil.
Still works great. Love the modern drag stuff like magnets.
I have used Penn reels for most of m 65 years.
Highly recommend.

squall 400 bait cast reel review
I recently used my Squall 400 on a mangrove and red snapper trip. This reel is super smooth with adequate drag to land 8-10lb mangroves and 15 lb red snappers. It's an extremely well made reel that should hold up to punishment of the saltwater fishing environment.
