This is the worst surf rod designed. The reel seat on the 11 ft rod is too small for both my Penn 525 Mag 4 and Avet 5.3. These are reels that many surf casters use. I returned the rod to get a refund at a significant price. Buyers should be warned about the size of the reel seat.

Four stars, only because I haven't fished this rod yet!
The rod appears very well made. My Newell 332-5 & 228-5 fishing reels fit the Penn reel seat perfectly.
Looks like a 5 star rod!
