My favorite!
I usually run Authority and Slammer reels at California surf, but Fierce is my go-to backup for surf fishing during maintenance. "What's more, Fierce is so lightweight that I use it for both surf and freshwater Bass fishing. Its versatility makes it one of my favorites."

Picked up the 6000 and caught a nice sized channel cat that night
Spent just a little bit over my budget hehe was worth it brought in my biggest catch ever and was a channel catfish ever and made the fight fun… @penn I would have loved to have a matching (*hint Penn Rod catfish/surf fishing sponsorship)
On the reel I have blue 50lb braided line…
Rod was an ugly
Loved my Penn need more of a collection….

Solid bigger reel
This reel is great, using it for surf/jetty/pier fishing in SoCal on 9’ rod. It is a little heavy though but that’s me just comparing it to the 3000 I have as well. Thank you penn for getting me the YFC and spotties!

Fierce IV 5000
Great spinning reel for the money.
I paired my 5K Fierce w a 9ft Prevail II for surf fishing. Catches everything. I love the power knob as well. I believe it's only available on the 5k and up models.

New Gen Penn reel
I've owned a 430ss reel for over 20 years and it's never let me down. I could only think the Fierce IV is up to the task! 👍
