    Awesome Reel

    Awesome reel gets the job done! The two speed makes reeling in monsters like a King Mackerel easy! The drag curve is superb- 40 lbs at max. Highly recommended this reel.

    FTHII40NLD2

    I have a FTHII40NLD2 loaded with 100 lb. Spectra with 80 lb. mono topshot. Great reel! Got into a school of yellow fin (100-140 lbs). I thought that I was outgunned, but no problem with this reel. I landed 5, with the biggest going 145lb. Another trip was targeting bluefin. This reel never let me down. I tagged 3 (up to 165 lb). My partner used the same outfit and landed 5 more (120-150 lb.). The only issue that I have is with the silver coating on the reel is chipping off. PENN should have stayed with the black and gold on their previous Fathom models.
