For the money it's a great line winder. I wish it had some kind of clamp mechanism to clamp to a work bench so I took a star from it. I still would buy it again though

I did not go 5 star only because the narrow/300 yard braid spools do not function well. plus I am adding some tie downs on the entire setup because it is too light not to slide. Also I will be buying a 1500 yard spool next time which is what I think this tool was made to use. I did experiment with an Ande 1/4 lb. spool of 20# mono and it rolled off great. Go as tight as you can and go slow. Much better that using a family member.

Now, I can wind my line alone. I don’t have to ask my wife to hold the spool with a long screwdriver. It’s easy to use and because it’s heavy in the right places, it does not slide all over the floor.
