I love the feel and weight of the rod; however, I am very concerned with the reel mounting section and the nuts are plastic. On such an expensive rod, these components should be metal.

I bought this rod for a reef fishing trip in FL. I’m glad I made the purchase because it handled every fish like a champ. From small grunts and snapped to a 8’ nurse shark. I just need to upgrade my PENN fierce 3 to something larger so it can handler stronger line
