I bought this combo to fish on vacation in NC. It was wonderful and helped me catch over 50 fish! Perfect stiffness on the rod. The only thing I didn't like is that the reel is loud. Makes a lot of clicking noises with mono.. it may not be so loud with braid. Overall though.. very happy with the product and the value!

This rod and reel set up is amazing I’ve got the 10ft heavy paired with the 8000 size and just caught a 60lb bull shark no problem at all
