Built with durability in mind, the rod offers a lightweight graphite composite blank construction with modified actions for a more parabolic and forgiving bend. PENN's virtually indestructible one- piece stainless steel Dura-Guides (no more insert popouts) and comfortable cork and EVA grips offer a traditional style and feel. This saltwater set up is truly up to the challenge.

    Great rod! Great price!

    Rod is working flawlessly! No worries about eyes popping out with the Penn dura-guides. I fish off piers quite often and they have stood up well against the dock rails and leaning up against the walls. I switched all my rods over to the squadron and for the last two years, I’ve been pretty impressed with what Penn has to offer.

    Great light tackle rod. Can cast a light bait or lure really well.

    This rod has plenty of power to pull on the toughest of game fish.
