I love this rod and reel combo. I havent gotten to fish with it yet, but going in Sept. I have a Penn Senator rod and reel for deep sea fishing. I have caught some amazing fish with it and expect to do the same with this setup.

I just got it, and I like everything about it, except the reel doesn't have a reverse lever. Still, I am excited to get to use it soon.
