I use this after every fishing trip. Twice a year, I use the Ardent product that is a corrosion preventative, but that stuff is way too expensive to use every trip. This stuff is so simple to use and it doesn't seem to bother the fish if any gets on the line while spraying the reels. You can spray on a rag and wipe if that is a concern for you however.
