Features

Most newcomers to the sport of shore fishing cut their teeth with a fixed spool reel, and many seasoned anglers still prefer a fixed spool reel to a multiplier. So, it was a logical step for us to design and manufacture a range aimed at the fixed spool user.

The PowerStix brand is designed to be user-friendly, without compromising power or action. The use of modern materials with a high carbon content has allowed us to create a range of surf rods that any beginner can progress with, from a simple overhead thump cast to serious off the ground styles.

The 13ft and 15ft models are both made up of three sections, while the longer 18ft model comes in four sections. All three surf rods can handle between 4oz and 6oz casting weight with ease.

As well as the surf rods we have produced a blank specifically for bass fishing – an ever more popular branch of surf fishing. Rated at 1-3oz, it can also be used for flattie fishing and is the perfect tool for some serious autumn sole sport.
