The big difference in this reel is the mag control system. Designed and manufactured in the UK, the new side plate sports a ratcheted wheel that controls a new magnet carrier. This gives an increased range of travel, resulting in a much more refined and ‘tuneable’ braking system. We’ve even replaced the original bearings with ABEC 5 Ceramic hybrid bearings for top-level performance.

The sheer cranking power housed in this tiny reel is unbelievable, and it’s this power, coupled with the supreme casting capability of the Super Mag Xtra that has won the hearts of just about every serious beach angler in Europe.

You can crank three dogfish or a double figure cod through some serious kelp with this little powerhouse, no problem. And if you need to cast a bait over the 200-yard mark to reach fish on shallow ground, then you only have to ask this reel and it will oblige.
