Rated 5 out of 5 by BReel from Nice Rod! First one was damaged in transit and PENN quickly replaced it. This is my lightweight 7' 6" rod paired with a PENN Clash 4000 w/ 20lb braid for chasing albies. I really like the quality of this rod for the price. Nice guides, reel seat, handle, fast action and light weight make this rod a winner. Glad I got one before it's discontinued.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CTWaterman from One of my favorite rods I bought the 7'6" med-light Regiment rod so that I had a lighter weight rod available for long days of casting from shore on Long Island Sound. I paired it with a PENN Clash 4000 and a 30 pound super braid and I couldn't be happier with this setup. I really like the handle. The rod is balanced and feels great and the action allows for long casts and great sensitivity with backbone and I've landed a few reasonable size fish including 25" Striped Bass and at 22" Bluefish. My only suggestion is that the hook keeper should face the other direction or be a simple loop-style hook keeper to help avoid catching the line from time-to-time when I'm popping the top-water plug.

Rated 1 out of 5 by tyre from Worst Penn product I have ever bought I am a die-hard Penn fan who almost solely uses Penn from reels and rods to tackle organization and equipment maintenance. This rod was the worst product I have bought for fishing. I purchased it 2 months ago and saved it for the winter fishing season when redfish run thick and on the very first bite on its maiden voyage it snapped about a 16 inches from the tip. I am a very experienced angler an was well in the recommended line rating which is why I am reconsidering this purchase and Penn as my go to rod supplier. I will add photos when i upload them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Aythya from Broke four of these in a year Ordered a pair of these from our distributor last August or September. Sloppily boxed but no apparent damage on arrival. Broke both in shop next day adjusting the drags on a pair of Spinfisher V 4500s. Returned to distributor for replacement. One replacement broke ahead of second guide the first week of use. Since I was on vacation and had lost only 3 inches I had a shop at the beach replace second guide with a new tip guide. Second rod broke last week four guides down when I checked drag after my brother-in-law had landed an upper slot redfish. I have other brand graphite rods that I've had for 12-15 years that have withstood more and heavier use and have given me no problems. These just seem brittle and fragile. I'm a Penn man but I can't recommend these at all. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sfulton6420 from The best rod I have ever had Well I swore I would never pay that much for a pole but my father handed me down this rod about 3 months ago I have a penn battle 4000 on it withe 20 lbs braid and I will never go back the action on it is out of this world casting is phenomenal I am now saving to build up a pen line up for my gear working on the battle 2 combo first. If you don't have one get one penn has changed the fishing game for me keep fishing y'all

Rated 2 out of 5 by Fluke Naaje from Great rod until it snapped I used this for fluke and loved it. Very sensitive with great backbone for hook sets. I've had it for around two years and today it snapped while casting. The rod was weighted for 1oz and I had a 1oz bucktail on so it wasn't overloaded. Also, it snapped just below the 3rd eye just like the other review. I just can't recommend a product that only lasts a couple years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DustyC from Awesome rod I recently purchased this rod in med/light 7'6". I bought it for fishing the flats but have only used it in freshwater so far. I love the feel and sensitivity of the rod. Awesome hook sets and tons of back bone.
