Rated 5 out of 5 by BigAlex from Great fighting beast Well, here in Canada, Montreal noone sells the 12" spinning rod... Had an 11" casting one for my spinning reel... Flapping line was just unbearable... Upgraded to 12"spinning... Got a 7500ssv spinfisher... And now there's no fish i can't handle... Casting 10oz sinkers always catches eyes and ahs of others, but such ease to do so with 12" prevail... Amazing... The rod i got, has some issues... First, The tip top ring is missing a small piece of metal, as if it chipped off before the coating process... Second, the butt section of the top piece had some irregularities, and being afraid of cracks, i sanded maybe .5 mill off it... Now it looks perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Eddie45 from Awesome rod Great quality at a reasonable price I have this rod paired with a penn feirce 7000 and it's like they were made for each other the rod is sturdy and very easy to put together and take apart in a hurry the rubberized grips above and below the reel seat work really well and add a lot of extra quality to this rod and the tip of the rod has the perfect softness to it for great casting distance and to see the fish activitie when your line is out in the surf. This is an overall great product 10/10 keep it up penn!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Captain CLyons from Super strong, super sensitive. Bought the 12' Prevail and have quit missing the "bait stealers"!... If you aren't fishing graphite Surf rods you're feeding the fish...not catching them. The prevail proves it...Quality rod at a great price. Thanks Penn!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Pole less Ed from Broken eye Brand new 10' Prevail fell apart. I paid $600. for boat rental to fish some back islands. I baited it, and on my first cast I see the inner ring of the eye sliding ony line. The eye was cracked. FIRST CAST!!! I lost the receipt, not that I thought I would be returning it. I now have a long practice guild for golf.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Afisher from Light and good for casting and jigging Had this for 2 years caught many flounder and rockfish jigging bucktails on the jetty. Light but it has a nice backbone so you can fish for hours and not get tired but still have the backbone to get a big rockfish. Mine has a battle II 5000 with 30lb braid works great! Although I'm only 15 I've been fishing all of my life and I've worked at a local bait and tackle shop for a year so I know more about fishing than the average jo

Rated 5 out of 5 by Neveroffside from Loving this rod Ordered a 12 foot heavy a few weeks ago. The rod is exactly as advertised. Great response from tip to handle. Easy to cast and very reactive reeling in. The real housing and shrink tube handle are quality and really secure. For the price; I couldn't recommend this rod more.
