Great vertical jigging rod!!
Jigging with Butterfly jigs, is an art form I’m still trying to master. I have 3 different brands of jigging rods. The carnage being the latest purchase, and by far for this application, the absolute best!! I’ve been unsuccessful in a large part due to the length of the butt section. Having the longer but gave me better balance and imparted the action required to be affective. Case and point. Last outing kayaking off Dania beach I landed over 6 fish on 3 different color butterfly jigs using the carnage and none using one of my others. I was also impressed with the balance and handling fighting fish.
In short this probably would’ve been my only jigging rod as a spinning combo had I bought this one first...

Light, Great Finish & Strong
Just received this rod - the 6'6" 30-80 version. Super finish, metal reel seat, nice parabolic flex, light weight. Paired it with a Clash 5000, it has great balance. This will be a tuna killing machine! Seems a bit stiff for jigs @ 100 gram speed and flat fall type jigs, but I still kill the albacore on the older Torque spinning rods that have the same rating.

Great Rod
Bought this right before a fishing trip. caught a couple yellow tail on it and it handled well. very light-weight and strong. only thing that gets a little annoying is there isn't much resistance with the aluminum so the piece that screws the reel in comes loose occasionally.

It did great
The rod did perform great, I went offshore fishing this weekend (3 days after purchase) and was able to fully test. I mated the rod to a Penn Slammer 3 6500, loaded with 80 lbs. braid and an 80 lbs. mono leader. My first real fish was a 30+ lbs. Amberjack. 5 minutes later I had it landed. Second fish was a 54 lbs. Amberjack landed in 15 minutes. The larger fish really, really worked me as well as the rod. At times, the rod was almost doubled in half and nearly spooling me during it's runs. If the R & D dept. is listening there are a couple improvements that could be made. First, the foam on the upper grip is too thin. During the battle, for those of us that do not have the grip we used to, a larger diameter foam on the upper(top) side would work well. Maybe an add-on or separate sub series? The only other thing is narrowing or stripping off the foam at the butt of the rod, it catches on clothing, and when my daughter was using it she found it uncomfortable. But, for anyone that is on the fence about this rod, please get it. The fit and finish is first class and because of it I was to land the largest fish of my life (to date).

Lighter tip with plenty of backbone.
I replaced a 450g rod because there was no give at the tip and the rod wouldn’t load up with a 7 ounce jig. This rod is still fun on 20 lb fish but has the backbone to handle much more. it also has great grips.

Very nice rod
Got the rod in the mail and was very impressed I own star rods shimono rods and Daiwa rods and this pen carnage rod is the best quality rod out of the bunch. I have caught two huge 40 pound amberjacks and a bunch of grouper with this rod and it performed beautifully. Will buy another soon. Love it. I paired it with a penn clash 6500 and it looks and feels Awsome.
