Whether you are pitching live bait to sailfish or trolling, the Bluewater Carnage family has the rod for you. EVA torque foregrips are contoured to fit the hand perfectly and eliminate the rod from twisting while under heavy load. Fuji® SS "LR" turbo frames with Hardloy inserts are lightweight and use a unique shape that prevents the line from getting tangled. (Select Models.) Fuji SS "N" flared frames with Hardloy Inserts for superior strength. (Select Models.) Fuji SS "N" flared frames with deep-pressed Hardloy inserts. Hardloy deep-pressed inserts provide a larger surface area for securing the ring material to the frame. This provides a stronger bond for more durable, longer lasting guides. Product Reviews

PENN® Bluewater Carnage® Boat Casting is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from strong and durable Able to hoist massive sharks and big bottom dwellers while maintaining a deep bend and allows you to feel each fish eat, fight, and succumb to its power. Priced attractively as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Balanced feel and strength This is my third Carnage rod and I've all but left using my Calstar deckhand rods the last two seasons. Matched up with a Penn GS or Fathom reel, I fish calico, seabass and yellowtail exclusively with these rods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features This and overall great rod from top to bottom. Has all the backbone you need for this big fish, but still lets you feel even the smallest bite. The carbon fiber is nicely wrapped and the fat Eva grips give you better control when under a heavy load.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Snapped In Half I have the 15-40 LB version of this rod which is no longer on the Penn website. A tackle shop lined it with 40# mono and it snapped right in half while reeling in a yellowtail with a 25# flouro leader. I purchased it from Turner's 1.5 years ago but this was on the 4th day fishing with this rod. I cleaned the salt off of it and stored it dust-free after each trip. Very disappointed in this rod, and especially since the warranty is only 1 year so I'm out of luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for the buck Best rod for the best price! Matches up perfect with my Penn Fathom 2speed. Best rod and reel combo I have out of all of my setups. It was also the best performing when it came to fighting those mossback yellows and those yellowfin we had in SO CAL. Can't wait to purchase my next Penn!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy when it counts! I bought this rod for yellowtail fishing in San Diego. I can really feel the quality and the strength when I'm pulling in big fish. Still sensitive enough to feel a bite but excellent hook set. Paired with a Penn Torque15 and you can cast to any boil of fish you want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great action! This rod is my Blue Fin Slayer! I went out on three 3day trips last summer and filled my freezer with months of tuna. The action on this rod is great. I am looking to set my son up with the same rig.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Penn blue water carnage is my go to rod The blue water carnage rods are among my favorite rods. They are super light weight and extremely strong, but yet super sensitive. And when I'm fishing I wanna know what's going on at the business end of my rod. To get that perfect hook set and knowing that one in a lifetime fish isn't going anywhere but in the boat. The blue water carnage series gives a angler that confidence.
